Utilizing hard science whenever possible and science fiction for what remains, the Lotus system empowers players to use their life knowledge and cleverness rather than relying on premade spells and frequent dice rolls. Find yourself at a locked door? Magnetize the lock and then reverse its polarity to open it. If you don't have skills in magic, you could always kick it down. That works too.

The Lotus System is used inside an original, established world with NPC’s fully conceptualized to begin with. Explore Gemina and meet its inhabitants, all while solving crimes, exploring ruins, sailing ships, battling existential dread, fight in wars, fight to stop wars, build great machines to battle the old terrible ones and at the end of the day, sit down for an ice cream sundae with your friends. All of the stories will be big enough for many play sessions, adding to the existing world as they are written.

The Lotus System offers a wealth of playable races to all choose and gain abilities from. Combined with a freeform skill and leveling system, these options allow players to make character combinations not possible in other RPG’s. A Bipedal shark, trained in magic and diplomacy? Go for it! A human sniper with psionic powers and a marathon runner’s endurance? Also a choice! Even more unique combinations can be discovered for yourself!
